Shahbaz Bhatti (Faisalabad 1968 – Islamabad 2011), founder of the “Christian Liberation Front” was a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party and in 2008 minister for Pakistan’s minorities. He was born into a catholic family from Kushpur, a village in the province of Punjab. He was committed to the fight for human rights, religious freedom, equality, social justice and the revision of the blasphemy law. On 2nd March 2011 he was the victim of a terrorist attack in Islamabad.

He is Shahbaz Bhatti’s cousin and was his spiritual confidant.
